Buda is just off Interstate 35 and served by State Highways 21 and 967. Just 20 mintues from the state capitol of Austin, Buda offers the visitor the best of both worlds. The quaint, picturesque downtown still has its original old buildings now home to gift and antique shops as well as a variety of restaurants.
The more developed surrounding areas of Buda offer the visitor access to more modern activities and shopping. The sports enthusiast will want to visit the Cabela's Outdoor Superstore with museum quality dioramas, 40 foot indoor mountain, along with numerous wild game trophies. The shoppers in the crowd will want to make a short trip up I-35 to visit San Marcos and the Prime Outlet Mall - home to more than 130 name brand luxury stores.
