Clear Lake
Near town of Houston | In the southeast area of Houston near nasa. Rentals available for power boats, sail boats, water skis, jet skis, canoes, para-sailing and wind surfing. Come fish for both fresh and saltwater species. Clear Lake is where Armand and Taylor Bayous, and Clear Creek meet to egress into Galveston Bay. Access from NASA Rd. 1 or FM 2094 between Texas 146 and I-45. |

Near town of Mathis | Located a few miles west of Mathis off Texas 359 or via Alice; this reservoir is located on the Nueces River and popular for swimming, fishing, boating, sailing and skiing. The upper reaches of this 27 mile long lake offer excellent habitat for fish. There are several spots around the shore with fishing camps and marinas. El Sal Del Rey (The King's Salt)
Near town of Raymondville | Located approximately 20 miles west of Raymondville off Texas 186; water collects in shallow depressions in the 'wet' season and then evaporates leaving crystallized rock salt. |

Sabine
Near town of Port Arthur | Main body of lake is about 19 miles long (common mouth of Sabine and Neches Rivers). The 2 mile-long levees provide fishing for saltwater speckled trout, flounder, redfish and other types of fish. Crabbing is also popular here. Sabine Lake is accessible from both Orange and Port Arthur. |

Near town of Edna | This reservoir extends 18 miles up the Navidad River. There are 10 boat ramps around the lake with parking and boat launches. There are also park sites with camping, picnic areas, nature trails, and marinas - all provided by the Lavaca-Navidad River Authority. Good for observing wildlife and photography. The dam headquarters are located approximately 8 iles southeast of Edna via FM 1822 or from Granado. |
