Located in the north-eastern part of the state, Jacksonville is served by State Highways 79 and 69; South of I-20. Known as the 'tomato capital' during the 1930's and 40's, the city still celebrates the once important crop every September with a Tomato Fest.
There are more than 60 manufacturing firms located here, and two factory-direct stores are frequented by shoppers.
